Amazingly there was nothing to fix on this version. The original post... except with a couple of corrections...

The first time around there were complaints that the inside artwork was to small... FIXED!

BECAUSE GOD TOLD ME TO DO IT THE SERIES

cover art by Elizza Von Rotton

Beginning tomorrow. as a sort of YEAR-IN-REVIEW... I thought I would repost the "BECAUSE GOD TOLD ME TO DO IT" series. If you have not downloaded it, or heard of it... this is your chance to get up to speed. Over the next few days each of the 4 installments will be posted. Give 'em a listen.

“Because God Told Me To Do It” the musick compilation is of giving…. Inspired by the amounts of musick sent to me over the last two years by outstanding musicians who just want to be heard. I have enjoyed the honor of being a recipient of your creativity. To say that your musick has touched me on both a aural as well as a spiritual level is not an exaggeration. Because of this, many of these tracks could be seen as modern aural sigils (even if unintended) because of their creation of specific thoughtforms within me. Because the conscious mind is incapable of such endeavors… I think that my theory holds true. Each of these pieces were created as sigils through the subconscious of the artist(s) with varying sentences of desire which not always known, even to the artists. Obviously their is a problem in such a theorem… and an inherent danger. Without a clear statement of desire, could this release actually be dangerous to the listener, since these recordings were not (most likely) recorded with specific set of directions. However, most likely these are emotions of the moment, not necessarily with a intent of action. This leaves the listener with emotion. Emotion produced by the creators subconscious thoughtforms. Perhaps in this way, these tracks are Sigils in their purest forms… unintended (perhaps) and unrecognizable to the conscious mind of the creator. Forgotten because they were never registered at the conscious levels. Ignorant of their own intentions… but secretly (or even covertly on a conscious level) seeking manifestation subconsciously through the listener. “

In Gowan Ring - Love Charms (1994)

For me, In Gowan Ring is the very of where Neo Folk should go. Mixing elements of India, psychedelia, and American folk. In Gowan Ring captures the very essence and feel of a more natural order, or a simpler time that was missed - not passed. B'eirth is a master musician, a wonderful story teller, and a magnificent vocalist.

If you have not checked them out... I highly recommend EVERY release by In Gowan Ring, and B'eirth other project Birch Book.

Track Listing;
1 Listen To Colours
2 Love Charms
3 Spindle Tree (With Dreambox)
4 A Swan Song
5 Stone Song II
6 Dandelion Wine
7 Within Rings (With Dreambox)
8 Of Water Wiverings
9 Urn And Water

THE OTHER SOUND: ISSUE 2012

Our interests fall in the lines of obscurity and obliqueness, be it to look at... to listen to... or to engage in. Bound by a pledge to bind oneself and keep the betroth of cryptic interests alive inside oneself. And so comes the name, THE OTHER SOUND, the sound remaining... remaining from the majority - the masses. THE OTHER SOUND is our musick, our belief, and our interests. OURS.
After much work... The Other Sound Issue 2012 is complete. Below is the link for the online magazine. In it you will find an interview with the complete SLEEPCHAMBER line up as well as interviews with Veil Of Thorns, Grammal Seizure, Banshee Goldman of "Cultural Asylum", artist KayTwo, performance artist Chi-Kitty, reviews, and information. Enjoy!

Give it a read and a listen... ya see, there is also Inner-X-Musick radio live feeding through the zine, AND a free limited time only download containing a sampling of tracks from a few the last year of Inner-X-Musick releases..

Burning Star Core - Blood Lightning (2007)

"Save me from the nothing I've become."

Hey, how about a random post of musick! Burning Star Core (C. Spencer Yeh) is an interesting submission to the noise genre. One reviewer eluded to Burning Star Core as being some crazed cross between Tangerine Dream and Whitehouse. I often think of their musick as Fractals put to sound, which - by the way - fits this particular recording to a "tee". Of the 5 tracks contained here within, 4 were recorded live.

Happy trails.

Track Listing;
1
The Universe Is Designed To Break Your Heart
2
A Curse On The Coast
3
Deaf-Mute Spinning Resonator
4
The Universe Is Designed To Break Your Mind
5
